Respect for the dignity of every human person, from conception until natural death, is at the heart of our mission of social justice. The St. Mary Respect Life Ministry is committed to spreading the word that the Catholic Church is a Pro-Life Church. There are many grave evils that permeate our culture. Abortion, euthanasia, contraception, and in vitro fertilization are some of the gravest sins against the dignity of life in our culture today. In addition to boldly speaking out against the culture of death, prayer is one of the greatest avenues we have to help bring about a culture of life.
“Christ needs you to enlighten the world and to show it the "path to life" (Psalm 16:11)
The challenge is to make the Church’s "yes" to Life concrete and effective. The struggle will be long, and it needs each one of you. Place your intelligence, your talents, your enthusiasm, your compassion and your fortitude at the service of life!” (Homily on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1993) Saint JPII
This group meets monthly to plan events for the parish.
