“Come, Sing to the Lord!”

The St. Mary Ascension Choir is looking for new members! If you are high school age or older, please consider joining us on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the music room (second floor of the St. Joseph Center).  We sing at 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sundays. If you play an instrument and would like to join us, please come. God’s word commands us to lift our voices in song to give him praise, honor, and glory! This is also a beautiful opportunity of stewardship to use the gift and talent you’ve been given by God to serve in this way at Mass. If you have any questions, please contact Luke Moyta.

Hispanic Music Ministry

This choir sings during the Spanish language Masses, on a rotating schedule. If you are interested in learning more about this ministry, please contact Maricela Dueñas, in the parish office.

Cantors

Cantors provide a special service to the St. Mary parish community by leading the congregation in singing and proclaiming the Word. Singers wishing to participate in this ministry are required to audition by singing a psalm and two hymns (of singer's choice) from the Breaking Bread Hymnal. The age requirement is high school and above. Cantors are scheduled to sing at Masses, selected from Saturday 5 pm, Sunday 7:30 am, 9 am, and 10:30 am.
