Creating a community of volunteers is an essential part of the success of our students and our school. We thank you for your willingness to dedicate your time and talents to St. Mary Catholic School. All volunteers are required to complete the VIRTUS training online through the Diocese of Rockford. See Virtus training/log-in information below.
Families have two options when considering the volunteer requirements:
● Each school family is responsible for at least 20 hours of volunteer time in one or more of the following areas. Before volunteering, please be certain of your commitment, as others will be counting on your dedication in the area where you volunteer.

● We realize that not every family will be able to comply with the volunteer commitments. Should you prefer to opt out of volunteer requirements, you may “buy out” of the hours with a $200 contribution to the school.

Virtus Training Requirements
Here is the information for you to create an account for our volunteer safety training.

On the left, click:
● First Time Registrant
● Begin the Registration Process
● Select - Rockford, IL (Diocese)
● Password: 2train!
● Create a user ID and password
Then follow the prompts for the required training. Incomplete activities should show up in red/pink and
will turn green when completed.
